How does TCM and Chiro integrated care work?
Both Chiropractic and TCM share the same belief in providing safe and conservative
treatments with a holistic approach. Hence, their integration works well towards
musculoskeletal pain management, particularly neck and lower back pain, spinal
degeneration (spondylosis), scoliosis, slipped (herniated) disc, etc.
Chiropractic readjustment and correction techniques can effectively remove the physical
impediment caused by the misalignment of the spinal joints. This greatly relieves the
pressure and irritation on the bones and soft tissues of the spine, thereby restoring or even
improving the flexibility and mobility of the spinal joints.
TCM, on the other hand, repairs the trauma inflicted on the spinal bones and soft tissues by
reducing inflammation and swelling, easing musculoskeletal tension and stiffness, restoring
and enhancing qi and blood circulation within the meridians. As TCM believes that the spine
is closely related to the vital organs, its treatment can directly strengthen the health of the
vital organs, thereby fastening the recovery of the spinal health.
Ultimately, the integration of TCM with Chiropractic creates therapeutic synergy, giving rise
to much better clinical outcomes for our patients.
